Switzerland: Price of wood pellets stable in July

Following two months of price stability from May to June, the retail prices for pellets in Switzerland remained largely stable in July. One tonne of ENplus A1 quality pellets currently costs an average of CHF 356.00. This represents a 0.2% decrease as compared to June. Compared to the same month last year, the price has fallen by 0.8%.

Depending on the delivery quantity (3, 5, 8 t), the price ranges from a 346 to 367 CHF/t.

The price of commercially used pellets (17 t) has also yielded only slightly since June. At an average of CHF 332.8/t, it is only 0.4% below the level of June. Compared to July 2017, the price has also fallen by 0.4%.
