Today is election day in USA and this is a roundpoint in wood business relationships between the big players in the Softwood industry, USA and Canada.

Canadian Softwood Producers 

During the ISC in Taormina Mr. Provost from Boscus Group Canada showed the different points of view on production, consumption and import-export situation.

Canadian softwood industry is in strong resizing: in 5 years, from 2018 to 2023,  the 10 first sawmills ( West Fraser - Canfor - Resolute - Interfor - J.D.Irving - Tolko - Weyerhauser - Dunkley - Lebel - Arbec)   production -14% , from 24mil m3 to 21mil m3 , top 10 sawmills control 10 more mills and their market share has increased from 19% to 68%.
